Your local Area Agency on Aging District 7, Inc. (AAA7) provides services on a non-discriminatory basis in ten counties in southern Ohio including Adams, Brown, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Ross, Scioto and Vinton. These services are available to help older adults and those with disabilities live safely and independently in their residence of choice through services paid for by Medicare, Medicaid, other federal and state resources, as well as private pay. The AAA7 administers home and community-based supports for older adults and those with disabilities; utilizes federal, state and local funding for a variety of programs and services, including but not limited to: PASSPORT and Assisted Living Medicaid waivers; long-term care consultations; caregiver support services; Regional Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program; home repair; healthy lifestyles and wellness programs; Medicare Part D enrollment assistance; and the Aging and Disability Resource Center (ADRC). Through the ADRC, the AAA7 provides access to information regarding additional services, such as legal assistance, case management, transportation, personal care, housekeeping, adult day care, home-delivered meals, emergency response systems, as well as other community resources.
