Quick Links-Information Surveys -COVID-19

Dear Community Member, In Jackson and Vinton Counties, the lack of transportation options affects many residents’ ability to access their community.  This can include difficulties getting to and from work or attending medical appointments, to simply being able to get to the store or go to the bank.  The Jackson Vinton Transportation Collaborative has been created in an effort to help find solutions to the transportation issues in both counties.  The goal of the Jackson Vinton Transportation Collaborative is to increase access to transportation to all people in Jackson and Vinton Counties in an affordable way.  Our vision includes pick up/drop off stops at central locations in Jackson, Wellston, Oak Hill, and McArthur where people would be able to get to a variety of places from those stops for work, medical needs, or recreation.    Ultimately, having access to transportation will improve the entire community by allowing more people to work and access local businesses.  For an employer, this could mean a bigger hiring pool, more productivity, and less turnover. At this time, the Jackson Vinton Transportation Collaborative is looking to gather some general information about how you are affected by the lack of transportation.  Below are some questions to help us gather information.  We would appreciate any feedback you have so that we can move forward and determine how to best serve the needs of our community. Please use the link below to participate in our very brief (1 minute) survey. We truly appreciate your time and response to this very important issue.
